CMF Phone 2 Pro serves a smooth AMOLED and a clean interface at ₹……

CMF Phone 2 Pro lands in India as a budget friendly mobile with two variants: 8 GB RAM with 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM with 256 GB storage.

Launch pricing started at ₹18,999 and ₹20,999 respectively, with day-one bank and exchange offers bringing the effective price as low as ₹16,999.

The first sale opened at 12 PM IST on May 5. You can buy it on Flipkart, Croma, Vijay Sales, and major offline retailers across the country.

Design and build

The Pro model keeps CMF’s bold, clean look with visible stainless steel screws, a slim 7.8 mm frame, and a light 185 g weight that sits well in the hand.

The back panel is finished in Black, Light Green, Orange, or White. The phone is rated IP54 for dust and splash resistance, which is a step up for this price class and handy for Indian monsoons and everyday splashes.

Display

You get a 6.77 inch flexible AMOLED with FHD+ resolution of 2392 x 1080, 120 Hz adaptive refresh, and up to 3000 nits peak brightness.

The panel supports Ultra HDR photos and uses high-frequency 2160 Hz PWM dimming to cut down eye strain at low brightness.

CMF uses Panda Glass on the front, and an in-display fingerprint reader sits under the screen.

For streaming, scrolling, and maps in bright sun, this display feels quicker and clearer than typical entry phones.

Performance and storage

The phone runs on the 4 nm MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro with an octa-core CPU up to 2.5 GHz and Mali-G615 MC2 GPU.

Memory is LPDDR4X. Storage is UFS 2.2 and is available in 128 GB or 256 GB. UFS 2.2 is not the fastest standard, but everyday app launches, social feeds, and camera use remain smooth, and the price savings go into other parts of the package.

There is a hybrid SIM tray with microSD expansion up to 2 TB, which is rare in 2025 and useful if you juggle 4K clips, offline playlists, and WhatsApp backups.

Software and updates

Out of the box you get Android 15 with Nothing OS 3.2. The interface is clean, bloat-free, and tuned for snappy animations, with touches like Private Space, an Essential Key shortcut to Essentials Space, and a refreshed Gallery that ties into Google Photos’ AI editing tools.

CMF promises three Android version upgrades and six years of security updates, which brings peace of mind if you like to hold on to a phone for several years.

Cameras

On the rear is a practical triple setup: a 50 MP main camera with a large 1/1.57 inch Samsung GN9 sensor for more light, a 50 MP 2x telephoto based on OmniVision OV50D for clean portraits, and an 8 MP ultrawide for cityscapes and group shots.

The 16 MP selfie camera handles social posts and video calls. The camera app supports Ultra HDR photos and 4K video at 30 fps.

The combination covers most daily scenes from indoor family pictures to outdoor trips without forcing you to rely on digital zoom.

Battery and charging

A 5000 mAh battery powers the phone through heavy days that mix 5G, navigation, and long Reels or Shorts sessions. Wired charging is 33 W over USB-C, with CMF claiming 50 percent in about 20 minutes.

Reverse wired charging at 5 W is handy for topping up earbuds. Indian retail units include a 33 W charger and case in the box, which trims accessory costs for first-time buyers.

Connectivity and audio

You get dual 5G with nine supported bands, Wi-Fi 6 for faster home broadband, Bluetooth 5.3 for stable TWS connections, GPS for maps, and a USB-C port.

The Indian variant does not list NFC, while European models do, so contactless payments depend on region. There is no 3.5 mm headphone jack.

The phone uses a bottom-firing mono speaker, which gets the job done for calls and short videos, but earbuds will sound better for music and gaming.

Gaming and touch

The display’s 120 Hz refresh and high touch response make swipes and flicks feel tight. CMF touts 120 fps support in BGMI along with a 1000 Hz touch sampling claim, so casual gaming and fast UI gestures feel responsive.

Thermals are well controlled for the chip class, which helps during longer play sessions.

Modular accessories

CMF continues to play with modular ideas. The Pro works with an ecosystem of screw-on covers and add-ons like a kickstand-wallet, lanyard, and clip-on camera lenses.

The approach is now more robust than last year’s removable back, and that helps the IP54 rating, though accessory availability varies by market and stock.

Why these specs matter

A 120 Hz AMOLED at this price makes scrolling social feeds and shopping apps look fluid and crisp. The 3000 nit peak helps with direct sunlight in Indian summers. UFS 2.2 plus LPDDR4X keeps costs in check but still delivers stable everyday speed for the apps most people use all day.

Triple cameras are more useful than single-sensor setups for portraits and travel, and the large main sensor helps indoors. A 5000 mAh battery with USB-C 33 W charging supports long commutes and late evenings.

The clean Android 15 build and multi-year updates reduce the clutter and keep the phone secure.

Key takeaways for buyers in India

If you want a modern design, a bright 120 Hz AMOLED, tight software, and a camera set that covers wide, main, and 2x portraits without paying flagship money, CMF Phone 2 Pro hits the sweet spot.

The microSD slot adds flexibility that many rivals dropped. Shoppers who rely on NFC tap-to-pay should check their region, and music lovers will prefer wireless earbuds because there is no headphone jack.
